India and Russia Tuesday fixed a USD 500 million arrangement for development of two rocket frigates in Goa for the Indian Navy, sending an unmistakable flag of proceeding with abnormal state barrier joint efforts despite the US alerts of assents.
Authorities said the assention for assembling of the two Talvar-class warships was marked between resistance PSU Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL) and Russia's state-run protection major Rosoboronexport under the legislature to-government structure for guard collaboration.
Under the arrangement, Russia will give structure, innovation know how and key materials to GSL for development of the boats in India.
The boats will be fitted with most developed rockets and other weapon frameworks, they said. "We have concluded a USD 500 million manage Russia for development of two warships in Goa," CMD of GSL Shekhar Mital told PTI.
He said development of the boats will start in 2020 and the first will be prepared for enlistment in 2026 while second one will be prepared by 2027.
